It took a few minutes but Thunder finally gave in, the Mud Dog meant a lot to him after all. We walked away from the wild flower field and into the grass fields, always cold even when the sun shines. It took us about a day to come close to the barn. Traveling at a fast pace that is. We got there at the crack of dawn, and Thunder was anxious to see the other cats. "I see you have returned." A deep voice sounded, stepping out of the shadows. Thunder's eyes widened then he whispered, "Mud Dog." The Mud Dog smiled and nodded his head. "I knew you would return." I saw tears of joy in Thunder's eyes but decided to not say anything about it. I could tell the Mud Dog was a great friend of Thunder's; they talked and talked catching up on everything. Sagetail and Badgerclaw woke up soon after, I'm guessing to how loud we were. "What? Who is this!" Badgerclaw exclaimed running up to my side. "This is Thunder." I told him simply. He and Sagetail dropped their jaws, amazed. Ashflame had his head hung low, his tail dragging on the ground behind him. At first I was going to ask why he was so gloomy but pushed it aside. "Ashflame!" I called to him and he looked up, confused. "Come quick!" I ushered him. Bounding behind me Ashflame came to a stop and looked Thunder straight in the eyes. "W-who are you?" He stuttered. "My name is Thunder." He replied and Ashflame's orange eyes widened. "W-what? How?" Thunder only smiled in response. They hugged, we all were so happy to see Thunder. We were all waiting for Ashia. After what felt like days she stumbled out of the barn, yawning. Ashia rubbed her eyes with her paws then looked at us. One by one she worked her way down the line until she met Thunder's gaze. "Thunder!" She gasped and immediately ran towards him. "Wow! I have never seen her run that fast!" Ashflame whispered to me. Thunder's eyes were filled with tears, as well were Ashia's. "Oh Ashia," He began happily, "I thought I would never see you again!" Ashia smiled, "I never doubted you." She replied and Mud Dog huffed. "What are you huffing about?" Ashia teased the Mud Dog. "Oh nothing! Im sure you always knew he was to come back." Laughter was bright in his tone. We were all happy, a big family again. After years of being apart Ashia, Thunder, and the Mud Dog acted like they had never been separated. "Thunder, you remember Scar right?" I heard the Mud Dog ask. "Of course I do. You took off his leg! It was amazing!" Thunder replied his eyes gleaming. I walked off leaving them to talk and saw Ashflame at the gorge's side. I quietly walked up to him and sat down. I don't know if he noticed me or not but he didn't acknowledge my presence. "Ashflame, this morning I saw you were upset. Why was that?" Ashflame looked at me, his fire like eyes hollow. "You see this gorge?" He began gesturing towards the rushing water. "Uh yeah?" I answered. "I got a sign. A sign from Stripestar himself." I just stared waiting for him to go on. "He told me that this gorge, this very gorge will cause my death. I don't know when or why, but someday I will drown." I sprang to my feet. "Ashflame that is insane! You must have imagined it all!" Ashflame shook his head in sorrow, "Stone, has Stripestar ever been wrong before?" I was at a loss for words, what could I say? "Well I am not going to let that happen!" I declared and began to walk off. Ashflame stood, making me turn around. "All cats are destined to die." He firmly replied, his orange eyes blazing like fire. I was about to say something when he shook his head and walked off ahead of me. I looked at the sky, "Oh Starclan, what is going to happen to us?"
